Summer internship interviews are usually a bit easier than full-time roles, but still challenging, especially at top companies. Practicing on LeetCode is almost a must, focusing on arrays, hash tables, string manipulation, and common graph problems like DFS/BFS. Don’t ignore behavioral questions either—many companies ask how you handled difficulties in teamwork. Prepare several real stories with clear logic and details; that’s more convincing than vague answers.
Ultimately, summer internships are an early competition. The sooner you start, the better your chances. For international students, time, visa status, and opportunities are tighter than for locals, but it’s definitely not impossible to catch up. With effort and preparation, the chances are there.
