As newcomers, it is important to understand this breakdown and not be misled by just the total figure. Sometimes offers that seem similar can be quite different once you look closely.

During interviews, if a recruiter asks about your salary expectations, it is fine to avoid giving a direct answer at first. You can say something like, “I’m focused on the role and growth opportunities, and I expect a market-competitive salary. I’m open to your budget.” This keeps your options open.
